  • Abstract
Opioid is provided with the characteristics of antalgic and addiction, its primary target is opioid receptor. As for novel drug design, it is of great significance to study the structures and functions of opioid receptors by using bioinformatics methods, and it will contribute to defending and abstaining from opioid drug addiction. Bioinformatics methods such as sequence alignment, evolution analysis and protein interaction are used to study the opioid receptors especially in human: mu-opioid receptor (MOR), delta-opioid receptor (DOR), kappa-opioid receptor (KOR), sigma-opioid receptor (SOR), Orphanin FQ receptor (XOR) are discussed in this article. The research of DOR character has been done simultaneously in order to get more information about the opioid receptors and make more progress for future biological research.
