Abstract
Knowledge management is considered as a key part of the strategies to use knowledge to create a sustainable competitive advantage in organizations. An approach of modeling the knowledge management process is proposed based on the state-process-resource method. In the approach, four kinds of knowledge agents are suggested. They are knowledge managers, knowledge analysts, knowledge engineers and knowledge individuals. From the perspectives of these four kinds of knowledge agents, a knowledge management process is modeled. The process models formally describe the knowledge objects, processors and activities of the knowledge management process.
