Abstract
This paper mainly describes about hardware composition, working principle and application of S-ID tracking system. And takes its application in logistics laboratory of Zhejiang Gongshang University as an example to help readers understand its application and principle. In china, this system is imported only these years, and has been used very few. S-ID system needs signal transmitter and receivers to achieve its function. Transmitters are set on the target moving objects, and receivers are fixed on the ceiling. The transmitters send out infrared lights and ultrasonic waves at certain internal, and the receivers will get all the signals. By the time information of the two kinds signals, S-ID system use three-point ranging method to measure every transmitter¿s location. So every target moving objects¿ tracks are also known. With this theory, the system is used in logistics laboratory to monitor storage and cargo state changing. Besides, managers can operate the process before the computer without any walking. This has greatly improved managing efficiency and accuracy. Research of the system using in laboratory has laid foundation for its application practically. At last, this paper has pointed out advantages of S-ID system, and looked to its future developing areas. It has affirmed the practical significance of doing research on the system¿s application in logistics laboratory.
