Abstract :
High-speed cutting, precision and ultra-precision machining are the emerging cutting processes, whose development mainly follow the improvement of cutting tool technology and machine tool technology. The systemic design theories and methods can help a designer to develop new cutting technology in the shortest possible time while guaranteeing that the solutions found will be innovative. Technology evolution of TRIZ can be used to predict the possible state of technology under study. These technologies can guide a designer along the right direction of developing a new product. In this paper, TRIZ evolution theory is integrated with cutting technology to predict the possible future technology. The evolution trends of cutting technology are studied and summarized. The evolution stages along each evolution line are identified and the evolutional potential is explored. According to the research, improving the controllability and dynamization of machining system, making use of porous structure, taking full advantage of the internal resources of system, and increasing the ideality of system may be the main direction of cutting technology in the future.
