  • Abstract
With the development of industry, more and more industrial byproducts and solid waste are producing, such as coal sludge in coal industry, oil residue and calcium carbide sludge in petrochemical industry, red mud in aluminum refinery and etc, which are bringing severe pollution to the environment. These wastes are in dire need of innocuous disposition and efficient utilization. However, these wastes behave especial characteristics of high solids content, high viscosity and no fluidity under atmosphere conditions. Moreover, these wastes open in the air may cause pollution to the environment, which results in great difficulties in their transport. Using traditional open transport means (such as belt conveyor, scraper conveyor and so on) brought secondary pollution to environment. Furthermore, the conventional transport means was not convenient to be combined with innocuous disposition and efficient utilization techniques. For example, coal sludge, a kind of fuel, is combusted to generate electricity in industry as the best innocuous and efficient disposal means. However, as a result of transport difficulties, the coal sludge is always discarded as solid waste and being piled up around, which lead to the terrible contamination of the environment, in particular surface, ground water and cropland. This paper present an integrated transport and disposal system, combined with pretreatment and transport with combustion techniques of coal sludge, which can transport coal sludge with sufficiently high solids content ( about 72%∼77%) and high apparent viscosity (about 1000Pa⋅S∼3000Pa⋅S) directly by pipeline having no use for water and addition agent. Generally, the transport distance is about 1000 meter. Additionally, the production of coal sludge and development of transport technology are illustrated in this paper. In particular, the operating principles, equipment set-up, key technology and technical parameters of the coal sludge pipeline tr- nsport and disposal system are expatiated. The integrated system causes no pollution to the environment for its complete seal and realizes protecting the environment, conserving the energy, promoting the development of cycling economic.
