  • Abstract
    Video grid is a leading development direction of multimedia in the future, which integrates varied technologies of multimedia. Video grid simulator is able to detect the deficiencies in the video grid while simulating the process of the real situation of video grid. It can improve the performance of video grid by optimizing the system design of video grid. The paper introduces varied grid simulators and their functions firstly, then describes the architecture and realization of the VGSim which is a simulator of video grid. Main threads and their functions in the VGSim are mentioned. Finally, the instance of running and the optimization scheme for the VGSim are referred.
