  • Abstract
    To get the mechanical properties of wiper motors without speed and torque sensors, a novel approach using wavelet ridge is introduced. The essential theory for testing mechanical properties without speed and torque sensors is discussed, and the relationship between wavelet ridge and instantaneous frequency is given. The approach to calculating the mechanical properties based on wavelet ridge is presented, which is proved to be precise and effective by the experimental results.
