Abstract
With the development of hybrid active compensation for electrified railway load, it is necessary to analyze the configuration of hybrid active compensation. The requirements of electrified railway loads to the configuration of hybrid active compensation are discussed. An identification process for all hybrid active compensation topologies is presented. The optimized topologies for 25 kV AC railway power supply systems are identified and summarized. The topologies which are suitable for electric locomotive load are found.
