Abstract
The paper presents realization and control of a two-phase bi-directional interleaved converter for a photovoltaic (PV) system. Harmonic contents due to switching action in a dc-dc converter are reduced by the interleaving technique. A nonlinear function is used for predicting the maximum power point (MPP). A novel multi-loop control scheme is developed to achieve maximum PV power generation under all weather conditions as well as equal current sharing between the converter phases.
