Abstract
Firstly, the topology and operation principle of the permanent-magnet BLDC motor for automatic door are researched in the paper. A method for decreasing cogging torque by cooperating of pole number and slot number is given. To increase the inner space utilization rate and the motor efficiency, the double-layer-and-short-pitch windings are employed. Secondly, taking terminal voltage as input, transient electromagnet field of a six poles permanent-magnet BLDC motor was calculated and simulated through the 2D circuit-field coupled time-stepping finite element method. Then, based on the driving system of the permanent-magnet BLDC motor, the experimental verification of the research work was completed. Finally, Both simulation and experimental results are given to verify the validity of the proposed machine. The application of the motor will accelerate the popularizing process of the permanent-magnet BLDC motor in the industrial field, and show its broad development prospect.
