Abstract
A new approach to the fusion of remote sense images has been developed. Firstly, the remote sense images of mountainous area are rectified to eliminate the shadow and the hypsography by a new algorithm with DEM. Then, a pixel-level fusion which guarantees the geographic meaning of the pixel value is processed. Results show that more information can be obtained from the fusion images, and the pixel value still stand for the reflection of the object on the ground.
