Abstract
In wireless sensor networks, a node may have multiple parents around and each parent can provide an observation of the global clock. We point out that synchronization problem can be modelled as a parameter estimation problem with multiple observations and an algorithm based on maximal likelihood estimation is proposed. Simulation shows that our algorithm can effectively reduce the variance of synchronization error by a factor of the parent node number.
