Bursting Phenomena in Continuous Adaptive with a Forgetting Factor

Recently, the introduction of a kind of forgetting factor (¿-modification) in the adaptation law for continuous-time systems was proposed to improve the adaptive system robustness. However, this paper shows that, similarly to the discrete-time case, burstings phenomena may occur. Thus, some of the previously established results in the literature should be revised.
