  • Abstract
This paper shows how the theory behind point and group linear iterative methods may be used to develop tools for the analysis and synthesis of decentralized control structures. In particular, it is shown how recent developments in the synthesis of decentralized control structures and their limitations may be explained in terms of this theory, thereby extending and giving further insight into these developments.
