Abstract
This paper studies the robust stability of nonlinear state feedback regulators constructed for exact linearization. A sufficient condition for stability is derived as a bound on an external disturbance, the linearizing transformation, and the linearized closed loop dynamics. The derived condition shows that exact linearization by static state feedback can yield robustly stable regulators and place quantitative bounds on the admissible disturbances. The application to a simple chemical reaction model is used to illustrate this method of anlysis.
