Abstract
This paper presents, for the first time, a minimax approach to robust controller synthesis. The main advantage of this novel problem formulation is that it provides simultaneous controller synthesis and process model selection. Two examples of this approach are provided. The method is a) illustrated with a numerical example b) used in the mathematical formulation of an industrial problem.
