Abstract
This paper investigates the use of the Generalized Sampled-Data Hold Functions (GSHF) control in the tracking problem, which consists of causing the output of a system to asymptotically track a desired reference input at the sampling times. The reference signal is itself assumed to be the output of a linear time invariant system. A necessary and sufficient condition for suppressing the dynamics of the reference model from the output error signal is derived.
