Abstract
A significant class of model based failure detection and isolation techniques relies on parity equations to generate residuals. A set of parity equations forms a diagnostic model and several models may be used in parallel to improve sensitivity and robustness. Both the equations within a model and the parallel models are ideally suited for parallel implementation. Such an implementation on one level of the massively parallel GAM Pyramid machine is described in the paper.
