Abstract
This paper describes an automatic steering system for small utility trailers. The types of trailers considered include boat trailers, moving trailers, camping trailers, and other small trailers. Towing such trailers can create both stability and maneuverability problems. The proposed automatic steering system reduces the severity of these problems by steering the wheels of the trailer. This paper describes this system and presents simulation results showing its effectiveness.
