Abstract
The problem of fast identification is investigated for continuous-time systems in both the H¿ and L1 norms. It is shown that although in the noise free case it is possible to identify a stable (possibly infinite dimensional) LTI system accurately on any interval using quasianalytic inputs, the identification speed is limited when the measurements are corrupted by noise.
