  • Abstract
Inclusion of a human as part of the system introduces a major fuzzy element, since human behavior is qualitative in nature. human behavior. In an office space the reference point of the closed loop climate control is the comfort level of human living in that space. Since comfort is not described in a crisp manner, then it seems more appropriate to apply fuzzy control techniques to the problems of climate control. Two major concerns associated with fuzzy controllers, namely, its overly conservative results and an analytical method for derivation of the rules are considered in this paper. Modeling approach to rule generation and integration of fuzzy and optimal control are discussed. Implementation results are presented.
