Abstract
Insulation Co-ordination means the adaptation of the properties of insulations - clearances, creepage distances, solid insulating material - to the operational and environmental conditions of electrical equipment and systems. The influences which can harm the insulation of telecommunication equipment are listed in accordance with the IEC Reports 664 and 664A. For classification of the environmental conditions in which telecommunication equipment shall operate safely and reliably, reference is made to the work of TC75. Furthermore the questions relating to type and routine testing of the equipment in respect of insulation co-ordination are touched upon.
