Abstract
Development of a solid state IMPATT injection locked oscillator fabricated in shielded microstrip is discussed. Application of this planar fabrication technique to spatial power combining to form active apertures suitable for AJ Satcom terminals is evaluated. Silicon doubledrift IMPATTs used in multiple injection locked oscillators are integrated with a thinned image array as a feed for a Cassegrain antenna system.
