Abstract
The linear switched reluctance motor (LSRM) has never been widely used for direct drive motion control applications partly due to its nonstandard drive circuit. In order to obtain the optimum converter configuration, five topologies are analyzed in detail and compared based on their overall performance in this paper. Experimental result is then obtained from a prototyping system that uses the dSPACE board and a three- phase LSRM.
