  • Abstract
    We had developed an prototype of pen gestures based mathematics editing which is applied to an ITS guiding algebraic calculation. Pen gestures enable students edit expressions (such as select, erase, overwrite, move and paste) directly with a pen instead of keyboard and mouse. Mathematics editing includes symbol editing and sub expression editing. Evaluation experiment results show that students think that pen gestures provide a natural and convenient expression editing environment on their algebraic learning.
