  • Abstract
In this paper it is shown that creeping waves cause for transmission around the human body using a metallic button antenna. This study indicates that the human body can actually enhance received power over that of free space. A small, unobtrusive, dual-band antenna is used in the measurement and characterisation of on-body communication channels. Measurements are performed on a human subject and a free space phantom model with the effects of the body on the communication channel being discussed.
