  • Abstract
Orebody modeling is one of the most important contents of the mine visualization. Orebody usually has complex shape, and its spatial distribution is very irregular. In the modeling process, model editing is the key step in visualization. From the perspective of software development, this paper discusses the method and progress related with the design and implementation of a 3-D orebody wire-frame modeling prototype system, and the development environment, modeling methods, spatial data models, model editing methods, and the implementation of the model editing is discussed in detail. The modeling system has been able to draw the orebody contour lines in 3-D interactive environment, and can rapidly builds up the orebody wire-frame model. Finally, a test has been made with a series cross-section raster images of Tantalum-Niobium orebody obtained Nanping city of Henan province, the results show that the modeling method and visualization progress is effective and has a certain practical value .
