Abstract
The access networks are always the bottleneck of the data transmission in the end-to-end networks. So many professional people use the data compression technology to improve the throughput of access networks. This paper does a further research on this problem based on DOCSIS networks. It proposes a dynamic compression strategy to make the data compression technology more efficient. Then this paper gives an experiment result to prove that the strategy does enhance the throughput. At last, this paper brings forward the research direction of compression technology in the access networks in the future.
