Abstract :
In this paper, a noncoherent GMSK detector using Limiter Discriminator Detection (LDD) followed by Viterbi decoding(VD) in the SFH system is presented. The performance of this detection technique is theoretically analyzed by using a Gaussian approximation and found by computer simulation. Simulations show the efficacy of the proposed detector in an AWGN channel. This method described in this paper can adapt modern frequency-hopping communication´s require for transmitting a mass of high rate data and video information and reduce the hardware complexity of the SFH/GMSK receiver.
