Abstract
The OFDM-CDMA system has a high performance characteristic of both OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) and CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access). However it has a significant drawback, the very high peak to average power ratio (PAPR). A modified selective mapping (SLM) technology is introduced in this paper. This technology combines SLM, which aims at PAPR reduction, and RM code, which is excellent and flexible in error control. Simulation results in the paper show to us that the proposed technology can reduce PAPR and improve the error performance considerably.
