Fully distributed authentication scheme for mobile ad hoc network

Public key authentication is a difficult security problem in no fixed infrastructure networks, especially for mobile ad hoc network with many new features different from traditional networks. In this paper, we proposed a fully distributed authentication scheme suitable for mobile ad hoc networks, in which each node stores part certificates and implement authentication by Multiple length-bounded paths authentication algorithm. The simulation results show our scheme is high assurance of authentication, good performance, fully self-organized, and scalable.
