A new trust-based electronic exchange system

Some electronic exchange systems with on-line TTP are fair but TTP might become the system bottleneck. An exchange system with off-line TTP could be more efficient, but it might be unfeasible that disputes could be resolved successfully in external dispute adjudication. This paper proposes a new balance scheme between on-line scheme and off-line scheme. If parties are of high trust degree, the off-line scheme is chosen and TTP´s load is lightened; or else the on-line scheme is chosen and fairness is strengthened. This paper also describes the trust mechanism of electronic commerce environment. The adaptations of Zhou-Gollmann protocol and ASW protocol are given to describe trust-based exchange scheme.
