Abstract
The indicator diagram of the pumping well is an important method to know the operation condition of the oil pump. It is a diagram consisting of the displacement and the load of the sucker rod in a complete period. In this paper, the monitoring system for operation conditions of pumping wells is designed based on ARM and the acceleration sensor, and the realization of the hardware and software of every part is presented in details. The system includes the operation condition sensor, the handy data collector and the data management center. The acceleration sensor is proposed in the operation condition sensor instead of the wire-drawing displacement sensor, which enables the system to record the indicator diagram automatically for a long time. Because the innovative information technologies including the ARM, the SD card and the USB communication are involved, this system has many advantages such as very low power consumption, wireless connection, high accuracy and continuous monitoring. The system has been continuously operated for a year and applied by several hundreds of oil wells, and the application proves this system to be workable and effective.
