Abstract :
There is no verdict whether the axial pressure and the radial pressure in the transportation pipeline for pasty materials is equal. By theoretical analysis, the difference between the axial pressure and the radial pressure is constant, which is only relates to the double cohesive force of the materials. The experiments indicate that the value of the axial pressure is little greater than the value of the radial pressure, the difference of numerical value is less than 1%. Accordingly, measuring the radial pressure instead of the axial pressure is feasible in engineering.
