  • Abstract
    The paper presents a novel approach for a gradient-less free-form optimization of engineering problems. The main feature of the approach is that it enables optimization of the engineering problems without calculation of an adjoint problem. This provides a fast and robust optimization of 3-D problems in practical engineering. In this paper we present the basic idea behind this technique followed by the example of the indirect optimization of the TEAM benchmark problem No. 25.
