Abstract :
Current contrast-control-technology is inadequate for solid targets with the next generation of high-intensity lasers. We apply a spatiotemporal-contrast-concept (STC) to demonstrate that intensity ~1025 W/cm2 is feasible for transparent solids at STC ~1014.
