Abstract :
MC (matrix converter) as a novel power converter with many virtues such as sinusoidal control input current and output voltage waveforms, bi-direction power flowing ability, as well as good characteristic of low-frequency performance, it has become a ideal power converter to excitate brushless doubly-fed wind generator. The frequency and amplitude of the output voltage and the grid-connected power factor of MC are controllable. Brushless doubly-fed wind generator is excited by the control windings with the controllable frequency and amplitude voltage. And the voltage is controlled by the MC. Based on the line-to-line synthesis voltages strategy for the MC, a method of controlling speed and power factor of brushless doubly-fed wind generator is provided., DSP realizes the line-to-line voltage control algorithm then generates PWM. Simulation and experimental results are presented to verify the feasibility and reliability of the control scheme, also provide an experimental basis for the practical application of matrix converter.
