Abstract
Nowadays the globe telecom industry is experiencing a IP transfered course from network to operation, and it brings along a series of problems. This is a momentous challenge for the operators, and it is a serious tribulation for the making of the policy. The element answering these questions is the cost of the network. In this passage, engineering model was applied to estimate the cost of China metropolitan IP network. The cost estimating model we established is born of local exchange cost optimization model (LECOM) and hybrid cost-proxy model (HCPM). Improvements embody two parts: introducing one more factor into original model, which indicates complex geographical environment, and building an algorithm for optimization of network nodes´ location. With a large number of simulations, we seek to figure out a series of functions that reflecting total as well as partial cost of China metropolitan IP network accurately.
