  • Abstract
    In this paper, we present the development of the Automatic Single-Station Location (ASSL) software for high frequency direction finding systems under consideration by Ebor Computing. The aim of the proposed development is to demonstrate the capability of the Automatic Single-Station Location software as a valuable add-on module to HF direction finding systems. The ASSL software is capable of performing single-station locations estimation using both realtime ionosphere data and model-based data. A novel image processing algorithm was developed to intelligently remove noise in real data sets. The ASSL software is also capable of multi-hop propagation location estimation. The ASSL system is to be validated using signals from a real-time High- Frequency direction finding system.
