Abstract :
One of the key challenges to develop applications for multicore-based embedded systems is enduring software complexity and performance requirements raised by parallel programming. We have proposed a novel design methodology with component-based architecture and an efficient software interconnection technique for software development in multicore-based embedded system, which enables application developers to scale up thread-level parallelism from one to many, and to interconnect components based on the software bus to hide details of sub-layer architectures. To evaluate our approach, we have implemented an MP3 player using the proposed design methodology.
