Abstract
Measurement of floors and work surface material is influenced by the contact resistance of the electrode which is used and the material which is checking. The theory of contact resistance, measurement equipment and the results will be discussed. A relationship between the electrode size, weight and material is developed which indicates that present electrode configurations may not be sufficient.
