Ageing simulation model for 110-kV equipment

This paper deals with the importance and relevance of ageing models. The use of these models simplifies the condition control of the equipment and delivers information about the real and artificial age of assets. The second mentioned one describes devices that behave older than they really are. This information is important for the amortisation and thus for the cost assessment. Contingent upon the initial condition different analysis are possible. The used software, Powersim Studio®, bases on system dynamics, which is a “purpose framework for depicting and simulating dynamic behaviour of business, economic, environment and social mechanisms” [1].
