Abstract
The AFV is often used as gas governor to control pressure in gas pipeline. The AFV has a pilot line to control the downstream pressure. The pilot line consists of pilot valve and restrictor. An orifice or venturi is used for the restrictor. However, the modeling of pilot line with venturi is not studied yet. In this paper, we investigate the characteristics of the pilot line with venturi, and propose the modeling of pilot line. The characteristics of venturi and pilot valve are examined by using the pneumatic system. The effectiveness of the proposed modeling was confirmed by experiment.
