  • Abstract
To avoid interference conflicts between shipboard weapon firing zone and other topside structures, a kind of algorithm for firing safety zone design of shipboard weapon system is proposed. Based on analyzing the characteristics that the shooting barrels of weapon depart from fire-center, and firing zone needs sufficient safety clearance for ship obstruction, the algorithm firstly founds space geometry model for different demand of firing safety zone, then searches the azimuth and elevation of zone boundary satisfying safety clearance. Combining two steps above, the algorithm figures out the influence of ship obstruction to firing zone, and designs the firing safety zone of shipboard weapon system. The result of the simulation example shows that the algorithm is valid and accurate.
