  • Abstract
Today some clinics and hospitals in the country are looking for cost reduction and optimization of resources in response to new trends in administration, for that reason is not possible to have specialists in each hospital or health center. This project proposes a solution through the use of the technology to the current problems and suggests the development of a system that allows a general doctor to take examinations relevant to the patient and send them to a specialist for a medical interpretation and this way can do a quick and efficient diagnostic. For the analysis of patients is suggested to send diagnostic images through a transmission network using UMTS technology. UMTS has an excellent transmission speed and besides the network already exists at the site of deployment with a good coverage which reduces costs. It is also used a wireless GSM modem, which serves as an interface between the network and the PC, besides of a management software.
