Abstract
In this article the specific absorption ratio is calculated inside a homogeneous human head model exposed to the electromagnetic field radiated by a dipole. Several positions of the emitting source relative to the head were considered and compared. Simulations results were obtained for WiMAX unmodulated carrier frequencies, namely 2.5 GHz, 3.5 GHz, 5.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz using commercial software based on the finite difference time domain method. Conclusions were highlighted and directions for future work were outlined.
