Abstract :
The paper introduces the basic concepts of fuzzy set and the basic theories of fuzzy C-mean clustering method and its corresponding algorithm. The algorithm is applied to the classification of the income of rural residents of Sichuan province. According to the computation results obtained by using fuzzy C-mean clustering function (fcm) in Matlab 7.0, all of the 21 administrative divisions of Sichuan province are divided into four clusters. The reasons of the differences and some advices to solving the differences are proposed.
