  • Abstract
Under the Background of sustainable development, support the characteristic of the heat source system, consider the function relation between the heat source system and social economic system, Analyze the state that supports the heat source system to be emergy flow. The extended emergy index system was put forward for assessing an heat source system´s sustainability. A certain heat source system in Shen Yang city as a case, according to emergy index system, the emergy yield ratio (EYR),environmental load ratio (ELR),emergy invest ratio(EIR) and emergy sustainable index(ESI)were 4.48,0.258,10.78 and 0.453(Project 1), 4.82, 0.262, 11.11 and 0.434(Project 2). The results showed that the sustainability value of the multiple heat source system was higher than that of traditional heat source system. The heat source system can was consumed with fewer resources, smaller environmental pressure, it be able to be worth products and service to offer more one for social economic system .So it can provide some pieces of constructive optimizing advice from different sides at the same time.
