Abstract
The conventional algorithm is not fitting for the pattern optimization of circular (or arc) shaped antenna, which is a typical conformal array. In this paper, Genetic Algorithm (GA) and Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) are used to acquire appropriate amplitude and phase weights are acquired to realize the low side lobe level and null of arc array. The numerical results demonstrate the excellent capability of both algorithms in conformal array synthesis optimization and offer reference to similar circular pattern design.
