Abstract
This paper presents a maximum entropy image reconstruction algorithm for two-dimensional synthetic aperture radiometer. This algorithm does not involve any optimization method, and the image reconstruction problem is reduced to solving a system of differential equations with appropriate initial values. Our work is focused on the application and the adjustment of this algorithm to the Earth observation situation. Several numerical simulations have been performed to compare the proposed method to the traditional linear method. The reconstruction results show that the proposed algorithm can effectively increase resolution and fidelity for synthetic aperture radiometers.
